(no subject)

- Jury duty today. I didn't get selected for a jury, so I get to go home. (Long time readers will remember that last time, I ended up on a civil case for five weeks) So I don't need to come back until they send for me again in three or so years.

And I get paid a whopping $5 for my time, but lunch cost me around $9. What a racket...

- Got home kind of early, so I was able to stop and get a badly-needed haircut. It worked out well because now I don't have to try to wake up early on Saturday, which usually takes an act of God to pull off. And I don't have to walk around with this ridiculous rat's nest on my head any longer.

- Mom's radiation treatments are over, and she's doing well. She's still a pain in the ass, though. No fixing that.

- Mom's new dog has warmed up to me. It came from an abusive situation, and was actually afraid of me and shrinking away from me. I guess I reminded the poor thing of someone that used to beat it. It took three visits, but I managed to convince it that I'm not the person that used to beat it.

I wonder what the poor little guy suffered through in the past.

That's all I've got. Life's been boring.
