- Mom was diagnosed with cancer, but they caught it extremely early. It doesn't appear to have metastasized, so they removed the tumor. They still have to hit the area with radiation treatment; that will be in the next week or two. Otherwise it looks like a good prognosis.
- My dad flew to California to help my brother and his wife fix up the condominium that they bought. So while Dad was on the west coast, it was up to me to mow the lawn at their house and to drive Mom to a few doctor's appointments.
- Mom still manages to be a PITA and complain about everything under the sun, and reminding me of all the ways I'm a disappointment in life, even though I'm doing her a favor by taking off from work to drive her to appointments and mowing her lawn. Gee, thanks. :P
- Mom got an adorable little bichon frise-poodle mix this past weekend. Stupid thing growls at me every time I come near it, though.
- My brother and his wife got an adorable little chihuahua mix a month ago. No word on if it will also growl and snap at me.
- NY Pride was absolutely insane. I met up with a friend of a friend, and we hung out for the day. It was the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, and they had a longer parade than usual. Normally the parade winds down by 6 pm or so; this year it was still going at 11:00 when I gave up and headed home. Here, have some pics:

- Walkway Over the Hudson, in Poughkeepsie NY, was another fun day trip with my friends that happened a few weeks ago.

That should get everybody caught up.
