-Cicadas: I would greatly appreciate if the next one of you wishing to commit suicide could please not aim for my field of view when you meet your untimely end on the windshield of my car. Seriously, that was one hell of a spatter. And those things don't wash off easily.

-The Asbury Park Gay Pride festival was great, except for the lack of places to get out of the sun. I had fun, but my forehead and neck are nice and crispy now. Next year they really need to move it someplace where there are trees

That would look odd.

Then again, I've seen weirder things at gay pride festivals...

i can honestly say i've never seen even a gal with a parasol outside tv or the movies. i shall stick out like a sore thumb. but i'm gonna do it anyway.

I wore a giant floppy hat - I suggest a sombrero for you next year. There isn't any place in Asbury with more trees they could have it. It's been in the same place for the last 3 years. Sorry I missed you! I didn't see anyone :(

It's been in that spot a lot longer than three years.

You're probably right, there isn't anywhere else in town that they could hold it. And it's kind of tough to grow large trees a block from the ocean.

I had fun, unfortunately you can only mill around so many times before it gets old, so we left. Apparently, there were a few old rocky people around that I didn't see. Sorry we missed you!
