So now my left knee is feeling better (although it's still iffy) but now my right knee has decided to be sympathetic... What the frigging hell!

Also, we may or may not be socked with an out-of-season October snowstorm, depending on how Hurricane Sandy tracks and whether it segues into a nor'easter. When this happened last year, people were without power for a week. Stay tuned...

My flist this morning is full of the first snow in various northern places. Down here underneath, it's working up to 17 degrees, which is kind of warm for this time of year.

Right now in the area of New York City (which I live near), probably 1/4 of the leaves have fallen from the trees. If we get snow now, snow will stick to the leaves and bring down large branches and entire trees. We got a really bad snowstorm this time last year which was disastrous. (Normally, we occasionally see a few flakes late in November, and get our first noteworthy snow in December)

In any case, the weather forecasters have yet to figure out what to make of this storm. It could be snow or rain, or just a lot of wind. It could even be nothing, for all anyone knows.
