This morning, I woke up and stumbled into my kitchen. I get a bowl and reach for a box of cereal, when out of the corner of my eye I noticed something through the blinds just outside my window.

The object was solid and stationary, and kind of looked like it might be shaped like one of those carafes that they sometimes serve water out of in a diner. The object was never there before, so I was curious.

I parted the blinds and looked out. A stray cat was sitting on the ground outside my window (I'm on the ground floor) and staring off into space, in the direction of my window. There was nothing for the cat to be looking at, it was just kind of in its own little world.

After about five seconds, the cat finally came to. It glanced at me quickly and scampered off.

Weird.

Dude, you go to some ritzy-ass diners. I've never been served water out of a cat-shaped carafe at any of the ones I go to!

Maybe the cat was wondering how to get in out of this storm.

Storm? It was nice out over here...

I didn't say cat-shaped carafe's, I said the shadow I saw through the closed blinds looked like it might be shaped like a carafe. :P

I think kitty was a little wrecked from too much catnip the night before. It actually took about five seconds for it to notice me watching it. So much for instant reflexes.
