Aug. 2nd, 2020 08:24 pmI was going to go down to my parents to do my brakes. But it was disgustingly hot and humid outside, so I didn't. I was going to do it yesterday, but it was hotter but less humid. But it would have been a better day for it than today. Blah. I hate having to work on my car in the summer, but I'm going to have to get this done before my brake pads wear all the way down and I'm grinding metal on metal.
My little bout with COVID from two weeks ago seems to have fully run its course, except that I'm still coughing up crud. I'm still taking Mucinex DM for it, which is helping, but only to a point. I'm supposed to see my endocrinologist this week and my regular doctor next week, so I'll see if either of them have any words of wisdom to impart to me.
So it turns out that everybody in the office except for the part time administrative assistant and the part time accountant ended up contracting COVID. I guess going back into the office was a bad idea. We're going to be working from home for the foreseeable future.
And I'm stuck sitting at home the majority of the time, all by my lonesome. My parents call me to check on me, my brother texts me, a few people text me here and there, and of course the usual noise on FB. It gets boring, but it's the way of the world right now, and there's nothing I can do about it.
