Oct. 13th, 2014 12:07 pmFree concerts in the city are always fun. I went into the city with a friend and a bunch of his friends that seem cool. (The photos are embeds from my Instagram. You're probably not going to see them if you're using the worthless LJ app. Sorry for any inconvenience) (EDIT: I don't know why the photos aren't showing up. If you click "View on Instagram" you'll see them.)
Yesterday in Times Square:
DEVO
I'm not super-familiar with their music, but they did have a fun set. I was riveted the whole time they were on. The guys knew what they were doing and were clearly enjoying themselves on stage. The crowd was definitely into it.
Jane's Addiction
They played most of the album "Nothing's Shocking" straight through. Great show, even with Perry Farrell's weird banter between songs. (Seriously, I could have done without him telling everyone about how he wants a blowjob, and then about how his wife wants him to lick her hoo-haa if she's going to blow him. You're 55, dude. Stop it.)
Nonetheless, a good time was had by all.
