So the Bush supporters won. Congrats. That's OK. I'm not sore. Bush says he's going to reach out to the Kerry supporters. Whether that proves to be true, only time will tell.

So if President Bush really wants to reach out to the Kerry supporters, I offer the following advice:

1. Stop alienating the other nations of the world. We will need their support if we want to win the war on terror. Diplomacy is the answer, not arrogance.

2. Take off the rose-colored glasses when you look at Iraq. We're not winning over there, things are not going well. It does not help your case when one page of the newspaper says Iraqi's are revolting stronger than ever, and the next page has a picture of your smiling face next to an article saying how well the war is going. Reality is what it is. Deal with it accordingly and don't try to bullshit us.

3. Stop giving your buddies all the tax breaks and the gumminit contracts. A very profitable no-bid contract exclusively going to your running mate's former company is a sure-fire sign of corruption which has no place in something as high-minded as a war on terror.

4. Quit trying to write discrimination into the United States Constitution. All that homosexuals (or all people in general, for that matter) want is to be treated fairly and with some dignity and respect. Denying gays the right to marry prevents them from being able to do many things that most people completely take for granted.

5. Stop trying to write religeon into the laws of the United States (i.e. stem cell research, abortion, gay rights). This country has a long tradition of separation of church and state. While I respect all people's religeous beliefs, I do not respect religeous beliefs forced down the throats of the general populace. The laws of this country should not be used to force religeous beliefs on us. We can go to our respective houses of worship to brush up on our respective beliefs.

That is all. Let's all be thankful that at least we don't have to listen to political rhetoric like this anymore, at least not for another four years.
