We had freezing rain around here. The past two days or so were very cold, and then today was above freezing and drizzling. The stairs coming out of my building were covered in a glaze of ice.
It's usually about once per winter I completely wipe out and end up bruising my hip, scraping my hands, etc. NOT fun.
My sister lives in the same building that I do in our complex, so when I leave her place to just walk around to the other side of the building to get home, she jokingly says "Walk safe!" When I saw her yesterday, though, there was actual meaning behind that. Thankfully, I DID make it to my apartment safely.
