Mar. 21st, 2020 10:19 pmI've been working from home beginning this past Wednesday thanks to coronavirus. On the one hand I can sleep in a bit because I don't need to shower or drive to work, and I can work in my pajamas. On the other hand, it's lonely, I have every distraction around me, and the refrigerator is right in the next room. I'm not really enjoying working from home, and I hope we can get back to working from the office soon.
So now it's been four days where I've barely left the house. It's been weird going out on the occasions that I have gone out, and seeing almost nothing going on outside. There are probably 1/5 of the cars on the road, many businesses are closed, and everything just feels "off."
I went out to get a burrito the other day, at least partly because I was craving human contact. The guy behind the counter was wearing gloves, very sanitary, no spread of germs. I appreciate the cleanliness, but it felt wrong. Getting takeout shouldn't feel or smell like an exam at the doctor's office.
