Wedding #1 was all the way up in western Massachusetts. It was a goth-themed party. I have to admit, I've never been to a wedding where death metal was played during the reception. Even though I didn't know anyone other than the groom and I'm not much of a conversationalist by nature, I still managed to have interesting conversations with a few of the others there. Sometimes people are just the right kind of people and I can converse with them pretty easily. I ended up getting there on Friday afternoon, and spending two nights up there in a really cheap motel that was kind of run-down but clean. Wedding #2 was held in the largely-restored Lowe's Theatre in downtown Jersey City, NJ. The actual ceremony was held in the theatre, and the reception was held in the lobby. The building is slowly but surely being restored to its former glory, as funds are made available. I knew many of the people at this wedding, so I mingled more. Plus the beauty of the building gave us all something to talk about.
