(no subject)

I'm sitting home for the second day now because the office still isn't open from yesterday's nor'easter. The boss texted us this morning saying the building was still closed, and he'd keep us posted on when to come in. I haven't heard from him since then. My immediate area only got about 6"/15 cm of snow, but from what I hear, the area around my office got around 21"/53 cm of snow. And it's heavy, wet snow, with tree branches coming down all over the place. I'm getting a little bit of cabin fever, but hopefully they'll have the roads cleared off soon.

I cooked on Sunday, and in a rarity, I might actually finish all the food that I cooked. Normally, I kind of look at the food after a few days like, meh, I don't feel like eating this anymore. But since I've kind of been stuck in the house due to the weather, I ended up eating most of it. I'll probably eat the last of it for dinner.

Garam masala is pretty good on pork chops, but I used too much. I'll have to use a little less next time.

I bought two of those gigantic sweet potatoes because they were really cheap, and baked them up. Normally I get the smaller sized ones because they're more convenient, but I was being stingy. These giant ones were the best tasting sweet potatoes I've ever had. They had an almost floral, strong sweet potato taste to them. Amazing.

My left eyelid keeps twitching on and off, and it's driving me crazy. Stupid clomipramine side effects. Grrr...
