Mar. 2nd, 2017 09:52 pmSo far, the new job has been going very well. I've been working mostly on plans for a small retail building, with a few little things thrown in here and there. So far, everyone seems happy with me, and I've been holding up well. The boss is fairly easy-going. As long as people are doing your work, he doesn't mess with anyone. So I think I'll stick with this one for a while.
I also thought the commute would be worse. As it turns out, they did make a minor improvement at a bottleneck point where traffic used to back up (at the I-80/I-287 interchange). Traffic still backs up a little, but it moves. It's not a guaranteed 15-minute wait like I remember it being in the past. The ride home is usually a little after the worst of the rush hour, and is normally not that bad.
