Nov. 1st, 2015 10:47 amᴥ I live all the way in the back of a development of garden apartments, far away from the road. On Halloween, that means that no kids ever make their way to my door. I always buy candy *just in case,* but alas, no children came by again this year. Oh well, I'll just have to eat this whole bag of Milk Duds myself.
*Beavis and Butthead impression* "Uh..., hollow ween. Mmm hmm heh heh hmm hmm heh heh heh..."
I didn't really do anything for Halloween. Normally I'd go into NYC to see the Halloween parade and mill around the Village or something, but I needed the day to rest and get back some spoons.
ᴥ The entire A&P company, which operates several grocery chains in my area, is going out of business and is closing all of its stores that weren't sold off to other companies. Since they closed all of their worst-performing stores two months ago and I'd already stocked up on a bunch of stuff that was on sale, it's almost silly to go bargain-shopping in the two stores near me that are closing down now. I've already stocked up on everything I need.
It's kind of odd to see the company gone. I remember when I was a little kid, and we lived in Elizabeth, NJ, both my mother and my grandmother always used to shop at the store near the Union County Courthouse. They also owned the Pathmark chain, which was all over New Jersey. So now there is a whole string of vacant eyesores all over the state.
ᴥ Meds stuff: I'm not really happy with Lexapro. Although it does help the gears engage, so to speak, and it hasn't caused me to gain weight like the doxepin did, it leaves me feeling lethargic and sedated even at the miniscule dose I'm taking. And I really would like something I can take for social situations, for which an antidepressant by itself doesn't quite do the trick. I really need to get on the ball about finding a new psychiatrist, so I can accomplish this.
