The worst part about this song, other than the song itself, is that it doesn't ever fade away. Every Christmas, every retail establishment everywhere plays Christmas music, and every Christmas track list has this fucking song on it. You can't escape it.

Paul McCartney has admitted that even he doesn't really care for the song (although I'm sure he doesn't mind the royalties coming in).
