Jul. 4th, 2015 02:23 pm- So as I said in my last post, I got the job. They were a little concerned about the fact that I've been with three companies since 2012. That said, the reasons that I was let go weren't because of anything I did. I was let go due to lack of work. In any case, these guys needed the help, and the work they did matches my experience better than my last two jobs did. They are offering me a little less than my last few jobs, but c'est la vie. It isn't the huge pay cut that I got when I started my job in 2012. And they are giving me health benefits starting on day one, which is a very big plus.
And once again, it's in downtown Newark, so I'm stuck taking the bus to work again. From my last job, I've found that to be both a blessing and a curse. A blessing, because I'm getting exercise walking to work. A curse, because summer is starting, and here in New Jersey, that means the three H's - hazy, hot, and humid. And sometimes thunderstorms, if I'm lucky.
- If you're lucky enough to live where there's a Wayback Burgers location, they have a promotion where you can get a milkshake with either ground up crickets or ground up Slim Jim beef jerky. Bon Apetit.
