Nov. 24th, 2013 11:24 pm-I'll most likely be skipping out on my family for Thanksgiving. If my uncle is going to treat us to watching him get sloshed and start telling it like it is to anyone within earshot, I'd rather just sit home by myself, thankyouverymuch. If my parents want to go, it's their problem.
-The holiday decorations have been going up all over the town, where I work. It adds a festive vibe to work. In all the places I've worked over the years, I've never had a job in the downtown area of a town before; every job I've ever had has been in some unspectacular building off the highway somewhere.
From what I hear, the boss throws a little party during the tree-lighting ceremony. Our office window overlooks the town's tree, so we get to see it without having to be in the cold. So that's a fun little perk that's coming up.
