Oct. 11th, 2013 07:40 pm-So the only problem with the new job is that it's hard to find a place to eat lunch in the area. I mean, downtown Montclair NJ is loaded with fine dining establishments, ethnic food, and little cafes and foofy places, but not much in the way of just plain old lunch. There is no place there with well-prepared comfort food that I can eat every day.
That was one of the biggest things I miss about my previous job. There's a place up there (Evergreen Foods, Englewood NJ) that, besides having good sandwiches, also had a variety of hot meals every day. You got your meat, your starch, and some veggies, and it was well-prepared, reasonably healthy, and good. I would eat that for lunch, and I'd be good until dinner when I'd just make a little sandwich or something for myself.
Oh well. I have to take the good with the bad. I do like the job, otherwise.
-I'm really feeling unwell today. I had low-grade sniffles on and off for the past week, but this afternoon it hit me like a bomb. I think I'm going to turn in early. Blah.
