Writer's Block: Out of fashion

How about sagging pants? They've long since worn out their welcome.
Besides being incredibly stupid looking, the fashion statement is also incredibly resilient. People started doing it while I was a sophomore in high school, and I graduated 16 years ago. Think about that. The first Bush was just leaving office (that's right, not Dumbya - I'm talking the one who might have had a few brain cells). There were no internets yet, unless you were a huge computer nerd. The people that started the look have long since grown up.
It isn't inconceivable that there are people my age that wore sagging pants that have had children, that are now sagging their own pants. Can you think of any other fashion statement where children are wearing the same things their parents wore?
