And the insurance company didn't send any warning because despite giving them your new address at least twice in the preceding year and a half, they never changed it in their system so anything they sent to me never got to me?
Initially, my insurance agent was going to sign me up for NJ PAIP (meaning no insurance company wants you so the State of New Jersey is insuring you at a big premium). The cost would have been $4100 for the year, and I had to pay by certified check which I couldn't do without a car. After crying a little that I didn't even having a way to get to the bank and I'd have to take another day off from work, she actually found an insurance company that cost less than my original policy. So in the end it actually worked out better for me, go figure.
