Aug. 7th, 2007 10:37 pmIt's only taken five weeks, but I finally got my internets back! (To be fair, not all of this was Verizon's fault. Most of the time it was because I kept forgetting to call Verizon during business hours because I was at work.) The problem was that my lines were cut near the junction box. (
degnernj, since you're probably wondering, there was no phone jack at the connection point. My complex is equipped with an old fashioned box. Wires from the individual apartments came down to this box and were screwed down to little contacts which connected with the wires that went out to the street. And there were a bunch of loose wires, so there was no way to figure out which wires were mine.)
I have to say, not having a working internet connection has really enabled me to accomplish a lot at my new place. I would never have gotten half as much done if I had a working connection the whole time.
Well, back to wasting time on a regular basis.
