Jun. 20th, 2007 11:25 pmOutside of the West Village, I would never have expected a church flying a gay pride rainbow flag. Sure enough, on my way home, one church in my town had a rainbow flag out front, right next to the American flag. Maybe it's a sign that Big Religion is finally loosening its collective sphincter enough to start welcoming all of God's children. Either that, or armageddon is here. One or the other...
One would think that the hardest thing about buying this stupid condo would be dumping their life's savings in almost one fell swoop and worrying about whether they are doing the right thing. Pfft. The hardest part of the process is convincing my parents that I don't need or want their help fixing the place up, that I don't need or want any new furniture, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for their generosity. But there is such a thing as too much generosity, and I want this place to feel like I earned it. I'm funny like that.
In any case, I close on Friday.
