Sep. 5th, 2006 08:47 pm-So my friends out in Reading threw a big ol' party on Sunday and basically invited everyone they knew. It was a lot of fun, except that some creepy old nasty guy with a bad mustache who's probably about 25 years older than me kept trying to hit on me. *shiver*
-Last time I was at my brother's (my brother and my friends live right down the road from each other), and I was helping him lug cast-iron radiators out of his house in 103° heat, I did him a nice big favor and used my architectural knowledge to draw him a sketch of his kitchen, to scale, so he could use it to plan new cabinets. Later that evening, he and his girlfriend went to dinner and took the sketch and lost it. And asked me to draw another one. I was not amused. But he begged and begged, and even got my mom in on the begging. So I cracked. And while I was out there, I drew him another one. See, I am a nice guy after all.
-I found out that apparently, if you put a little acetone in your gas, your car gets higher mileage and runs cleaner. So just for shits and giggles, I went and got myself a quart of acetone and gave it a try. According to what I read, you only need to add about an ounce for every five gallons. I did this for the first time when I tanked up before heading out to Reading, so the highway mileage is not indicative of my typical driving habits. However, if things go the way they've been going, I may actually be able to break 400 miles on a tankful, something I've never done with my car. I'll do this for a few weeks and keep you guys posted.
