Aug. 14th, 2005 11:01 pmFor the first time today, I saw regular gas being sold above $2.50 in New Jersey. The Mobil on Route 1&9 in Elizabeth was as high as $2.599/gallon. Also, I once again beat my old record for how much it took to fill my tank. I paid $32.25 for a fill-up last night.
What the hell is going on, that can cause the price of gas to double in the past year and a half? I am completely disgusted. These prices are just not fair, nor do I think they are justified. For people that are not as well off, these high gas prices are a burden.
At least I don't own a sport-utility vehicle. If I did, I'd probably be paying closer to $40 for that fillup.
