Work work workitty work...
Oct. 3rd, 2004 11:22 pmYesterday I was helping my friend move, among other things. On my way home, I made a perfectly legal U-turn at the Ferry Street light on Route 18 in Old Bridge. I know it was a perfectly legal U-turn, because signs posted at the light read "LANE FOR U AND LEFT TURNS ONLY" and "TRUCKS OVER 4 TONS NO U TURN" (and my Mitsubishi Galante is no 4-ton truck). Anyhoo, a nice police officer pulls me over and gives me a ticket for an illegal U-turn. I'll easily fight this one in court, shithead cop.
I'm also still helping my dad with his house. We're building a new stairway into the basement. It's a ton of work, but it is slowly getting done.
But I am beat. I'm not used to working like this. I am sooooo out of shape, fat lazy American bastard I am. My legs are sore, my shoulders are sore, I have a big bruise on my arm that I don't remember how I got. Ugh.
