Scrapple 2
So I broke my boycott of Pennsylvania. My, wasn't that quick?
I went over my brother's place in Reading. He moved out there two months ago with his girlfriend. She grew up around Reading. Things I learned:
-People in PA don't seem to like scrapple very much. I don't know about Scrapple's status as a PA thing.
-There are tons of 24 hour diners in all of Southeast PA. I guess the're not such a Jersey thing.
-Puerto Rican bread ROCKS!!! (and I'm told the stuff I had was not the best)
-Tea can smell like smoked ham. My brother and I are both big tea affectionato's. He was desparate for some really good tea, so he bought some "Lapsang Souchong" loose tea, a "distinctive tea with a unique smoky taste." He didn't like it, so he gave it to me. Basically it's smoked oolong tea. And yes, the tea leaves smell like smoked ham. But I brewed some up and I liked it. My brother said I could have it, and I graciously accepted.
